Taran is the headstrong, adventurous, good-hearted and courageous protagonist from “The Black Cauldron”, the darkest Disney animated feature film so far, released in 1985. Here we can see his full figure drawn on black colored pencil. The paper used for this artwork is panoramic and unique, so we needed to carefully fold 1 centimeter of it to fold it and fit it into the frame. The artwork is numbered T67 on the lower right side.

In the vast realm of Disney animated classics, there exists a gem that, while not often mentioned in the same breath as other iconic films, possesses a mysterious and dark charm all its own. “The Black Cauldron”, released in 1985, is a unique entry in the Disney canon that blends fantasy, adventure, and an unsettling atmosphere to create a film that lingers in the minds of those who dare to experience it.

One of the film’s best intriguing aspects is its ability to captivate audiences through its eerie and atmospheric visuals. The landscapes are imbued with an almost ethereal quality, accentuated by the gloomy, almost otherworldly color palette. Over the years, the film has garnered a cult following, with fans appreciating its distinctiveness and willingness to explore darker themes.

Make yours this enigmatic entry in the Disney library, an original unique drawing from a film that dared to stray from the well-trodden path and venture into darker territory, with his protagonist perfectly drawn that will remain in animation history forever
