This original animation drawing can be seen at the 1:25 mark of the short film "Donald’s Cousin Gus" on online views. Here we can see a full figure of Donald Duck in his classic attire, offering his hand to Gus. Donald’s figure is remarked on orange pencil and has some production notes in red on his left. Underneath Donald’s figure there is a shade effect in green with the production note “#186 Follows”. The artwork has a production section rule on the upper right side and is numbered A137 on the lower right side.

"Donald’s Cousin Gus" is part of American television history. The short film was the first pre-recorded program televised in the United States, airing part of the NBC’s first night of programming on May 3rd 1939. The film is also the first appearance of Gus Goose, one of the most famous sideline characters of Donald Duck in the 40s. 

This feature was directed by Jack King, best known as one of the earliest pioneers of Animation. He worked for Warner Bros’ Looney Tunes and for The Walt Disney Company, where he directed over 50 Donald Duck short films in just 12 years. The story of this cartoon was created by Disney Legend Carl Barks, "the Duck Man", the man in charge of creating all the universe around Donald Duck.
