This original animation graphite drawing can be seen at minute 4:28 of "Trader Mickey", one of the most embarrassing scenes created by The Walt Disney Company due to its outdated references. This is one of a kind drawing where we can find together Mickey Mouse in his old original shape and the embarrassing Native that became the model for Goofy’s movements and expressions. The artwork has a minor cross-out on the lower right side, where is numbered 51.

Although uncredited, "Trader Mickey" is considered the first short film directed by David Hand, who soon became Walt Disney’s right-hand man and the chief director of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs". Due to the outdated cultural references, this short film was hidden by the animation company.

In the film, Mickey Mouse entertains guests in a winter shelter saloon located in the Klondike region of Canada. There arrives poor orphan Minnie Mouse and finds the comfort and care provided by our hero Mickey. But the villain Pete kidnaps Minnie and Mickey will try his best to set her free. In this short film we can also see Pluto and Goofy making a cameo, and recognize the voice of Walt Disney himself playing the role of Mickey Mouse.

"Trader Mickey" is a clear example of what Disney’s animators were capable of doing back in 1932. It is notable for its intricate, hand-drawn animation and its attention to detail. The film features a number of clever visual gags and humorous moments that still hold up today. If that is not enough, the soundtrack of this film is a turning point for the Animation History. Don’t wait anymore and make yours this piece of Disney and Film History!
