Here is a rare original animation drawing from Prince Phillip in the film “Sleeping Beauty”, in ropes and gaged just when he has been captured and locked in the dungeon, as we can see on the mark 57:18 of the feature. This original drawing can belong to cut footage as it is not seen in the film. The drawing is rendered in black graphite and the artwork is numbered 4B on the upper right side and C45 ½ on the lower right side.

Released in 1959, "Sleeping Beauty" is a timeless animated masterpiece that captured the hearts of generations, and the heart of Walt Disney himself, who considered the feature as his zenith. The film’s most significant achievement is its stunning animation. The meticulous attention to detail, vibrant colors and majestic backgrounds transport viewers into a world of enchantment. "Sleeping Beauty’s" art style is a visual marvel that sets it apart from other Disney classics.

Prince Phillip is the first Disney prince to be given a proper name, inspired by the late Duke of Edinburgh and husband of Queen Elizabeth II. With a brave and heroic personality, the character was designed by Disney Legend Milt Kahl, one of Disney’s Nine Old Men, who was in charge of other beloved characters such as Pinocchio or Peter Pan

Either you are a fan of art or of Disney, you need this special rare and hard to find artwork from the film that continues to captivate new audiences and remains a cherished part of the Disney legacy, one that will continue to charm and delight viewers for generations to come.
